Headaches

I have had tremendous success helping my patients eliminate or dramatically reduce their headaches. Unfortunately most of my patients (and almost all of their doctors) have no idea that I can help their headache problems, and only discover it as a pleasant surprise while receiving treatment for some other complaint. This is most unfortunate, as there are untold millions of headache sufferers who could be helped through correctly applied chiropractic treatment.

Over the years I have found a recurrent link between upper neck problems (misalignment, restricted mobility, and tight muscles) and chronic or recurrent headaches. These upper neck problems have a huge impact on your autonomic nervous system. This is the part of your nervous system that controls the many automatic functions of your body, including the balance between the sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (feeling drowsy after a big meal) nerves.

These autonomic nerves control whether your blood vessels are constricted or dilated, and whether your muscles are tight or relaxed. When this balance is lost, headaches are often the result. By restoring the normal range of motion to the joints of the upper neck and working to relax the muscles of the neck and upper back, I can almost guarantee that I will have a major impact on your headache problems.
